About
I provide a well-rounded view of LGBTQIA+ mental health and wellness, using a tailored approach to develop and manage creativity based holistic programs. Including advocacy, education, preventative mental health, and policy work directed towards our queer community. I emphasize diverse needs and backgrounds from a personal stance as a neuroqueer person living with chronic mental and physical illness. By establishing Releasing the Phoenix, I aimed to create a safe, primarily virtual mental health and wellness space with a focus on creativity as a healing force. As well as education, training, and consultation for professionals on LGBTQIA+ affirming care, highly stigmatized conditions, and support and education for allies and loved ones. My compassionate, knowledgeable, and empathetic presence are unmatched, bringing a welcoming force to holistic LGBTQIA+ mental health and wellness. I have firsthand knowledge of what being a disabled queer person is like, and how there is hope for living a full life. Authenticity, advocacy, and innovative leadership are at the center of my work. My work and writing have been featured by Recovery.com, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), The Mighty, BPD Alliance, and others.
How I use The Book Therapy Method™
I incorporate The Book Therapy Method into my individualized approach exclusively for the LGBTQIA+ community, using horror, erotica, and LGBTQIA+ young adult books to address gender/sexuality exploration, anxiety, stress, grief, anger, and connecting with your inner child or younger self.
